Vers 10:00 les Sargasses deviennent assez abondantes et les pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements reprennent de bon train ! Comme les conditions ne permettent pas de mettre les annexes \u00e0 l\u2019eau, le filet Manta rentre de nouveau en action pour faire les pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements\u2026 mais pas de tristesse chez nos scientifiques qui font tout de m\u00eame une belle p\u00eache en seulement quelques minutes ! Une grande quantit\u00e9 d\u2019algue est remont\u00e9e sur le pont, il va maintenant falloir tout trier !<\/p>\n<p>Apr\u00e8s une premi\u00e8re observation, l\u2019\u00e9quipe remarque de nombreux d\u00e9bris v\u00e9g\u00e9taux terrestres comme des morceaux de bois ou des feuilles mais \u00e9galement des plantes marines comme le <i>Syringodium<\/i> qui poussent en milieu c\u00f4tier. Cette station est donc fortement influenc\u00e9e par les \u00eeles et la population ; ils retrouvent d\u2019ailleurs plusieurs noix de coco, flottant parmi les d\u00e9bris divers. Les d\u00e9couvertes ne sont pas finies, encore une surprise dans le filet ! Une Sargasse que l\u2019\u00e9quipe n\u2019avait encore pas vu depuis le d\u00e9but de la travers\u00e9e ! Il s\u2019agit probablement, d\u2019une Sargasse benthique c\u00f4ti\u00e8re (c\u2019est \u00e0 dire qui vit sur le fond) qui a d\u00fb \u00eatre emport\u00e9e par la houle et se retrouver sur la route du bateau. La Sargasse sera bient\u00f4t identifi\u00e9e, mais reste pour l\u2019heure inconnue ! Ces pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements \u00e9taient riches en diverses esp\u00e8ces : crevettes, crabes et \u00e9galement quelques petits poissons de 2 \u00e0 3 cm comme des juv\u00e9niles de baliste et de faire quelques plong\u00e9es au niveau des c\u00f4tes pour prospecter et r\u00e9colter des Sargasses benthiques, cousines des esp\u00e8ces p\u00e9lagiques. Le but est de mieux conna\u00eetre les esp\u00e8ces pr\u00e9sentes sur le littoral et \u00e9tudier, par exemple, leurs communaut\u00e9s bact\u00e9riennes ou leurs caract\u00e9ristiques chimiques.<\/p>\n<p>Terre en vue ! Cette nouvelle donne le sourire \u00e0 tout le monde ! Sur le pont du navire, l\u2019\u00e9quipe a vu de nombreux oiseaux marins notamment des fous masqu\u00e9s (<i>Sula dactylatra<\/i>) et des fous bruns (<i>Sula leucogaster<\/i>). En milieu d\u2019apr\u00e8s-midi le bateau se dirige vers Fort de France pour r\u00e9aliser des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements de microplastiques, les scientifiques veulent toujours effectuer des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements dans le sens du courant avant et apr\u00e8s l\u2019\u00eele pour \u00e9tudier les effets d\u2019\u00eele.<\/p>\n<p>Pour finir la journ\u00e9e en apoth\u00e9ose, trois cachalots un jeune et deux adultes, gardent l&#8217;entr\u00e9e de la baie&#8230;.
